I have an "All", "Windows-only",, "Junk", "Unplayed", etc. Inside is a 2D puzzle platformer that builds upon what made Limbo great, and in fact, builds something greater. Here are the steps I took to fix it: install protontricks via Discover in desktop mode, select Limbo in the protontricks GUI > Change default wineprefix > Install Windows DLL or component, Choose d3dcompiler43 and d3dx943, Done, Limbo now works just fine via Proton (in game mode as well).
